Welcome to Artist Tex Wilson’s website where you will see railroad and cowboy art done with a unique art style and a philosophy that engages the viewer into the work with an unusual pen and ink montage technique plus adding a bit of descriptive caligraphy. The hope is, everytime a person looks at Tex’s work you may find something you hadn‘t seen before. This web site will show art subjects that range, from the wild horse to the iron horse, from the roundup to the roundhouse and from the dusty trails to the steel rails.
Having grown up in a railroad household in Texas, his father was a Brakeman and Conductor on the Santa Fe RR. Plus Tex worked on the railroad in the 40's in the Roundhouse, B&B Gang and engine crew Callboy which makes him qualified to bring out some authenticity in his art. He holds a B.A. in Commercial Art and worked some 40 years as a Graphic Illustrator. Railroaders and Cowboys have been a part of his life which he portrays with historical and artistic significance.
